What data does the extension collect

When you use the Extension, we may collect the following information:

• User’s prompt: The extension stores the user provided prompt on the client side storage. This data is used for creating the requests sent to ChatGPT.
• API Key: The extension may ask user to enter the OpenAI API key for generating the summaries using the API. This information is only stored on the client side.
• Website Data: The Extension reads the website data to generate summaries of it. This data is collected only for the purpose of generating summaries and is not stored by us. Please refer to OpenAI’s privacy policy for determining how they used the data shared to them via API.
• User Actions: We may collect information about your interactions with the Extension, such as when you trigger a summary or use other features of the Extension. This information is collected only for the purpose of improving the user experience of the Extension and is not sold to any third party.
• Random ID: Each device is identified by a random ID generated on the client side. This ID is used for analytics purposes only and is not tied to any personally identifiable information.

With whom does the extension share your information?

The user’s prompt and website data is being sent to OpenAI for processing the request. Please refer to OpenAI’s privacy policy for determining how they used the data shared to them via API.

We use an analytics platform to collect information about how users interact with the Extension. The information collected may include your random ID, device type, and user actions. All this data does not contain any information which can be used to identify a user. This information to improve the Extension and to understand how it is being used. This information is not sold to any third party.

You can choose to disable the Extension or uninstall it at any time. You can also clear your client storage to remove your random ID.
